What happened in Season 2 Episode 3?
HBOIn Episode 3 of The Pitt Season 2, a mystery is solved, two pairs of patients with interconnected injuries enter the building, and the doctors prepare for the arrival of patients from a nearby hospital.
The first patient pair are a college student suffering from an apparent psychotic break, and the security guard who was injured while tasing him, an act that the police believe might have been unwarranted.
The second pair are a couple whose car hits a motorcycle, with the husband suffering from Hypokalemic periodic paralysis, and the wife collapsing due to internal bleeding.
The mystery surrounding Kylie’s injuries is solved, and rather than the bruises being due to any kind of abuse, she’s found to have immune thrombocytopenic purpura, for which she needs a course of steroids.
Dr. Robby continues to clash Dr. Baran Al-Hashimi over the course of the hour, and he also treats a burn victim suffering PTSD from the Pittsburgh synagogue shooting in 2018.
While just when it looks like the morning shift might be calming down, Westbridge Hospital issues a ‘code red,’ meaning their ambulances will be redirected to The Pitt. Meaning chaos ahead in Episode 4.
