Twitch streamer AspenKartier banned after allegedly hitting her dog on stream

Twitch streamer AspenKartier has been banned from the platform, after allegedly hitting her dog during a live broadcast, following the animal’s escape from its cage, and prompting widespread backlash online.

The incident occurred during a stream on January 28. Although the dog is not visible on camera, audio from the broadcast captures AspenKartier asking, “how did you get out the cage?” before she appears to grab the animal.

Moments later, the sound of repeated yelping can be heard, which coincides with the streamer striking three times.

Clips of the moment have since circulated on Reddit and social media, with many viewers accusing the streamer of animal abuse based on the clip. AspenKartier has not publicly addressed the incident at the time of writing, and the VOD recording of the stream is no longer available.

At the end of the clip, the streamer carries the animal by its scruff out of the room.

AspenKartier is also a rapper who has moved into streaming and content creation. She currently has more than 70,000 followers on Twitch and over 100,000 subscribers on YouTube, where she posts a mix of livestream content and videos.

Commenters were shocked by the footage, with one writing, “What a difficult video to watch. Hope she gets banned and the puppy goes to a loving family.”

Another added, “That’s tough to watch. Don’t get a dog if you can’t properly take care of it. We can only imagine what she does off-camera.”

“Save this dog, holy sh*t. She needs to be reported for this sh*t. This is actual animal abuse,” another Reddit user said.

AspenKartier responds to Twitch ban after alleged dog abuse

The streamer seemingly responded to the situation in several posts on her Instagram stories. One of these posts was a video of AspenKartier holding up her dog to her phone camera, repeatedly saying, “Okay, tell them. Tell them that you’re fine. I’m not playing. Tell the people that you’re fine.”

At the end of the clip, the dog wriggles its way out of her grasp and squeals, prompting the streamer to shout, “You’re so dramatic!”

In another video, someone off-camera can be seen giving the dog belly rubs while AspenKartier drops twenty dollar bills on top of it.

She also shared a screenshot of the situation on X’s Trending page, along with a photo of an advertisement for the movie ‘Send Help.’

In two other posts, she shared a photo of her dog along with the caption, “We gon’ beat these allegations.” In the second, she showed a collage of photos with her cuddling the dog set to the song ‘Us’ by rapper Molly Santana.

The post included typed-out lyrics from the song’s chorus: “What would I do without my baby?”
