Choi Mina Sue has quickly become the most talked about Single’s Inferno Season 5 cast member, with this week’s batch of episodes ramping up the discussion. Now, fans are clapping back with one demand.

A common complaint with any reality TV show is finding the right balance of time spent on each contestant or couple, and Single’s Inferno is no different.

Last year, Season 4 cast members Lee Si-an and Yuk Jun-seo had a lot of screentime, leading to complaints from some viewers.

While Single’s Inferno Season 5 has arguably struck a balance, Mina Sue has become the main focus of discussion after switching up her interests in the Netflix show. Amid the very loud backlash, fans are jumping in to defend her.

Choi Mina Sue’s Instagram account has been inundated with angry comments and red flag emojis. Viewers are now clapping back and demanding to put a stop to the online bullying.

As is the case with any reality show, Single’s Inferno audiences are only given a snapshot of what actually happened during filming. Plus, as fans have pointed out, even if they don’t agree with a contestant’s behavior, it does not excuse harassment.

Taking to Reddit, one wrote, “Mina Sue’s IG comment section is weird right now,” and shared a screenshot of some comments, including a frequently used still from the ‘Olivia Munn eating hot dogs’ gif.

“This is just one of the comments,” the Redditor continued. “I get that she’s coming [across] off-putting right now but that doesn’t mean you just start cussing at her.”

Dozens of Single’s Inferno fans agree, with one writing, “People are so disgusting! How the hell do they not have any shame?! Everybody knows much harm these comments can do to someone. I hope that she has great friends around and will lock/limit her comments section.”

Another said, “These people need to take a good hard look in the mirror. Imagine critiquing someone and thinking you are morally superior, when commenting things like this on a stranger’s Instagram is your upbringing.”

“I don’t like her either but… people really go overboard,” added a third. “Like I am sure she is watching the show and cringing too, that’s enough punishment.”

A fourth chimed in, “This is such pathetic behavior. It’s just a show. Why would they go bully her?”

Others have pointed to the fact that people are targeting Mina Sue’s personal Instagram account. “You know what, I’m not defending Mina Sue’s action or any of the Single’s Inferno cast behavior that could be categorized as hella unappealing and unacceptable,” said one.

“However, cyber bullying is just not it… People forget that these are real humans. It’s true that it’s the cast’s decision to participate in the show, but what makes you superior just by being a horrible human being by cyber bullying the cast? Genuinely disgusting behavior.”

Single’s Inferno Season 5 Part 3 lands on Netflix on February 3. Until then, find out if any of the Single’s Inferno couples are still togetherwho the hosts are, and everything coming up in our 2026 TV show release calendar.
