Lego Pokemon fan builds exclusive Badge Box before it even releases

The Lego Pokemon crossover has already proven to be extremely popular, so much so that one fan has started building the exclusive Pokemon Badge Box before it officially releases.

When Lego officially announced its long awaited Pokemon partnership, the response was overwhelming. The reveal confirmed the very first official line of Lego Pokemon sets, a crossover years in the making.

That excitement only intensified when the first wave of sets went live for preorder. Both the Lego and Pokemon Center websites were hit with heavy traffic, leading to long queues as fans rushed to lock in their purchases and bag the exclusive Pokemon Badge Box, which was only obtainable by purchasing the Starter Set.

As such, the Pokemon Badge Box quickly became one of the most talked-about items in the lineup. Many were disappointed that it could not be purchased on its own, and for one Lego fan, that frustration turned into motivation.

Over on the Lego subreddit, one user shared images of their own custom built Pokemon Badge Box, created after carefully studying the official promotional images. In their post, the builder explained exactly why they decided to take matters into their own hands.

“I was a bit disappointed that you couldn’t buy the Pokemon Badge Box on its own, so I reverse-engineered it from the official images and built my own, with some modifications, of course. Hope y’all like it!”

Naturally, fans loved it, flooding the comments with praise, impressed not only by the accuracy of the build but by the extra tweaks made along the way.

“Love yours! Looks like you got the needed parts to do the rainbow badge correctly! Well done!” one commenter wrote. Another echoed the sentiment, commenting, “Heck yeah! Looks awesome!”

Some even went as far as to compare it to the official release, with one fan stating, “I like it better than the official one.”

As interest continued to grow and following countless requests from fans, the user shared full instructions along with a complete parts list, allowing anyone to give it a go.
