Arc Raiders players are calling for big changes to the game’s event schedules as they’re missing out on crucial map conditions, with some fans claiming there are events they didn’t even know about for dozens of hours.
There are five different maps available in Arc Raiders at the time of writing, with a sixth coming in April. But to keep things fresh, each map has a series of conditions and events that go live for an hour at a time.
These can range from environmental hazards, like Electromagnetic Storms, to challenges that offer rare loot, such as Blue Gate’s Locked Gate.
They rotate on a specific schedule every week, meaning that they always appear at the same times of the day until the devs adjust it. However, this is causing plenty of problems for players, as there are some useful events that are completely unavailable to them, depending on where they live.
Arc Raiders call for changes to map event rotations
This has been a hot topic since launch, but the debate kicked off again with the addition of Bird City in the Highwinds update. Using the tracker site Metaforge, a player in the UK realized that the event was only on during the working day or at midnight, making it impossible for them to play.
“Bird City is a non-starter for us in the GMT timezone with regular day jobs,” they wrote on Reddit. “I wish Embark would consider a dynamic schedule to give everyone across the globe a chance at all game modes!”
They were far from alone, either, as other fans in different time zones with full-time jobs had similar complaints.
“Yup. EST here in the US. I will, literally, never be able to participate in the event,” said one reply, while another added: “The actual unemployment event. The hours don’t fit anybody with a life.”
It appears that this has been an ongoing issue with many of Arc Raiders’ events, as in some cases, they completely passed players by, even those who have invested hundreds in the game.
“I literally played it for the first time like last week and i have like 200 hours… lol,” said one comment, referencing the Hidden Bunker event.
“Launch Tower??? What the heck is that? I’ve no lifed this game and this is the first I’ve heard of this event,” said another about a different condition.
Most players seem to agree that the only solution is to rotate the schedule more regularly and mix up the hours that each one is live. This would ensure that the unique rewards available in all events are available to everyone.
Embark Studios recently revealed the roadmap of content for 2026, which included new map conditions, so players will be hoping this issue is resolved soon.
