Absolut Vodka teams up with Tabasco to launch spicy chili flavor

Absolut Vodka has partnered with Tabasco to launch a new chili pepper flavored spirit called Absolut Tabasco.

The limited-edition release blends Absolut Vodka with a natural essence derived from the fermented and aged red pepper mash used to make Tabasco Sauce, aiming to bring the heat of the hot sauce brand into a bottled-vodka format.

According to a press release, the product is designed to deliver “the distinctive heat and aroma of the world’s most famous pepper sauce in the world’s leading premium vodkas.”

When and where Absolut Tabasco will be available

The vodka is set to launch from February 2026 onwards across more than 50 markets worldwide, including the United States and the United Kingdom.

“Each sip contains the distinct notes of aged chilli peppers and vinegar with an underlying sweetness,” said Absolut. “This delivers a bold and pleasant heat experience that engages all the senses, immediately inviting another sip.”

Produced in Sweden, Absolut Tabasco is gluten-free, contains no added sugar, and has an alcohol by volume of 38 percent.

The bottle combines visual elements from both brands, using Absolut’s apothecary style shape alongside the “Absolut Tabasco” name in the Absolut typeface and Tabasco’s diamond shaped label and signature colors.

Absolut said the collaboration was driven by growing demand for spicy drinks, noting that forecast sales of spicy vodka are expected to rise by 27 percent by 2029.

The new product will sit alongside Absolut’s existing spicy offering Absolut Peppar, a black pepper-infused vodka described by the brand as “like freshly ground black pepper in liquid form.”

Craig van Niekerk, global vice president of marketing for Absolut Vodka, said, “People want to feel some heat in their drinks. What better way to do it than by combining one of the world’s leading hot sauce brands with the world’s leading premium vodka brand?”

Absolut stated that Absolut Tabasco can be enjoyed as a shot but is “a perfect match for spicy cocktails.”
